The Artist at Work, Episode 13
Have you explored the wonderful world of the Enneagram?
Have I lost you already? Well let me explain before I get into the nitty gritty. The Enneagram Personality System has been around for over 100 years. It is a framework that identifies you with a dominant personality type (there’s 9 of them) and helps you navigate the pros and cons of your working styles, relationship defaults and life nuances along the way. It’s fascinating, eye opening and feels the most objective of all the tests or set of beliefs out there.Â
On this week’s episode of The Artist at Work, we are diving in to our types and what we have learned from exploring this framework.Â
You can take a listen below!
Of course, you can always subscribe on Apple Podcasts to get these delivered straight to your phone. Best way to ensure you don't miss out!Â
Just want the cliff notes? I got you.Â
Everyone has a little bit of every type in them, but there’s a universal truth in your dominant type that is deeply embarrassing. Woof. Read up on the 9 types & let me know if you agree!
I’m a 3 with a 4 wing. That’s an Achiever with an Individualist wing. No surprises here.
Emily is a 4 with a 5 wing. That’s an Individualist with the Observer wing. Again, checks out.
Emily has always been into defining her “special-ness” and figuring out what was next for her career-wise. So much so that she carried around Myers Briggs books about it in middle school. Tune in to [05:50] for a good laugh.
Take Care of Your Type  - A book recommendation (pictured above) that thinks about Enneagram with a veil of self care and consideration for others. Can’t recommend enough!
Want to take the test yourself?Â
We recommend two links... a freebie and a much more robust $12 test.
Enjoy exploring the Enneagram for yourself!Â
